Peace, Justice, Community and the Kingdom of God

"I believe the work of UNOH amongst the poor, in both Asian and Western cultures, demonstrates some of the best, creative missional engagement of Christian mission today, and therefore may be a catalyst for our own missional practices’.
(Dan Yarnell, Fellowship of Churches of Christ)

We strongly recommend that ECN members make every attempt to get along to a special presentation by Ash Barker of Urban Neighbours of Hope in Birmingham on 8th June.  Christians have always been on the side of the poor but often in the West have little practical experience of what that might mean. Ash Barker and his family offer a living demonstration of what a practical involvement might look like. Their pioneering work has created a framework to allow others to join them on this key mission frontier. Creativity, passion, commitment, the crossing of boundaries, all these and more are present in abundance in the Barkers' inspiring story.

Special Guest Speaker: Rev Joel Edwards, Micah Challenge

Location: Rowheath Pavilion, Bournville B30 1HH

Time: 10:00 - 16:00

Cost: £15

This event is jointly organised by: the Fellowship of Churches of Christ in Great Britain & Ireland and Springdale College: Together in Mission, with the support of the Anabaptist Network and Urban Expression.
