We’d like to bring to your attention an international consultation on urban mission in Rotterdam, from 27-29 August 2012.  You are invited to a conversation on best practice on how Christians engage withtheir cities. Your participation will stimulate new vision and partnerships.

The event is hosted by Gea Gort and Robert Calvert. Gea leads the urban network GIDS Rotterdam and is the author of ‘God in the City’ – see www.geagort.com. Robert is also a networker, and co-founder of urban projects (such as Mamre, SKIN-Rotterdam and PLACE). Other PLACE network participants will be Steve Thrall (Paris), Axel Nehlsen (Berlin), David Clark (Dundee) and Andrei Madly (Cluj).

It is organized by P.L.A.C.E. Partners of Learning and Acting in Cities of Europe. A network of urban practitioners who meet to stimulate and learn from each other. Around areas of interest: leadership development, church renewal & multiplication, community & city transformation and people in pain.

• This international consultation will bring together urban practitioners from cities all over Europe
• We seek a new generation of urban leaders and request that you to enable young leaders to participate
• The consultation will focus on contemporary challenges to live out the Good News about Jesus Christ
• The consultation will encourage fresh reflection on what God is saying today through his Word
